This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Review patient insurance policies to identify specific prior authorization requirements based on CPT codes for all upcoming surgical procedures.
• Initiate prior authorization requests via provider portals, telephone communication, or fax submissions.
• Monitor and follow up on submitted authorization requests, ensuring that approvals are secured and appropriately linked to the patient’s scheduled appointment.
• Prepare and submit appeals for authorization requests that have been denied or require reconsideration.
• Communicate with patients as needed to clarify the prior authorization process or to request additional information.
• Accurately record all prior authorization activities in patient charts to keep the care team informed before the patient’s appointment.
• Monitor Microsoft Teams chats for inquiries, clarifications, or updates regarding appointments that may affect prior authorization status in real time.
• This is a full-time position.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
• Strong skills in problem analysis and resolution.
• Ability to efficiently multitask while navigating multiple computer-based information systems.
