Principal UX Designer – Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• The Principal Designer will be tasked with the design and development of high-quality AI-driven solutions tailored to meet client needs.

• This position will require collaboration with various stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative AI solutions.

• Lead requirements gathering and design workshops to align stakeholder groups and outline a future vision.

• Drive a comprehensive product discovery process that focuses on understanding stakeholder needs, business and user applications, while continuously validating hypotheses.

• Strive to gain a deep understanding of user behavior, clearly defining and prioritizing challenges and opportunities to ensure focus on the right initiatives at the right time.

• Suggest workflows that integrate AI components to improve the overall user experience.

• Develop storyboards, low-fidelity wireframes, and user journey maps to embody customer vision and define user flows.

• Convert complex AI-driven functionalities into intuitive and user-friendly designs.

• Assist in conveying design decisions and AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of design experience, with a strong emphasis on AI and machine learning.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts to audiences of varying levels of understanding.

• A strong passion for storytelling.

• Demonstrated ethical and critical thinking abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Outstanding time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

• Proficient in collaborative whiteboarding tools such as LucidSpark, Miro, Invision Freehand, Figma Jam, or similar.

• Skilled in industry-standard design tools for high-fidelity wireframing, including Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
