Principal Technical Product Manager, Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and take charge of the Data Platform roadmap, focusing on data ingestion, auto-detection, schema reconciliation, and lineage.

• Manage the CRO and lab-partner ingestion-template product along with the auto-matching user experience, ensuring partner data is ready for use as soon as it arrives.

• Promote dataset-level provenance, sensitivity tagging, and governance regarding field-of-use.

• Collaborate with the BioSim and ChemSim teams to design experiment-integration API schemas.

• Oversee the federated data-management product that facilitates IP-safe data sharing among partners.

• Establish and monitor key metrics, including but not limited to time-to-usable for each dataset, auto-match accuracy, and completeness of lineage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in product management, particularly in data platforms or data governance.

• Practical knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data catalogs, and tracking of provenance/lineage.

• Proven experience in designing data APIs for developers and building ingestion tools.

• Background in defining data governance controls, including access, sensitivity classification, and restrictions related to purpose/field-of-use.

• Proficient in transforming ambiguous, cross-team data challenges into scalable and measurable products.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
