This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Create and uphold the enterprise data architecture roadmap, ensuring the alignment of data strategy with long-term business objectives and technological aims.
• Lead the design and advancement of data platforms, including data warehouse and lake-house architecture.
• Develop and promote a Data Mesh strategy that facilitates domain-oriented data ownership, self-service data infrastructure, and federated governance.
• Architect and manage enterprise data integration patterns, encompassing batch ETL, real-time streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Set standards for data pipelines, transformation logic, lineage tracking, and integration frameworks across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Spearhead initiatives to prepare the organization's data for AI, supporting machine learning and AI applications.
• Promote the adoption of data contracts and data product thinking to enhance reliability and trust in data assets.
• Oversee the design of Master Data Management integrations and provide technical leadership across MDM projects.
• Serve as a strategic consultant on data initiatives throughout business units, ensuring architectural integrity and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Offer technical mentorship and architectural direction to data engineers, BI developers, and MDM Software Engineers.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in data engineering, software development, or data architecture roles.
• More than 5 years in a senior or principal-level data architecture role with accountability for enterprise-scale data programs.
• Extensive expertise in data warehousing strategies (Inmon, Kimball, lake-house architecture).
• Demonstrated experience in designing Data Mesh architecture, including domain ownership models and data product definitions.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT design and data integration patterns, including batch, micro-batch, and streaming.
• Practical experience with enterprise integration platforms (Kafka, dbt, Airflow or similar tools).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or Google BigQuery.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java, with experience in contemporary software delivery practices.
• In-depth knowledge of Master Data Management principles, tools, and implementation methodologies.
• Willingness to travel to the Middle Tennessee area 2-4 times yearly for team gatherings.
