Principal Technical Consultant – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions: developing, testing, integrating, deploying, and launching GenAI services and agentic workflows into production.

• Transition solutions from prototype to production, managing deployment, releases, version control, rollback processes, and ensuring reliable live operations.

• Make informed design and trade-off decisions while actively participating in technical architecture discussions.

• Create estimates, break down tasks, and provide delivery updates; identify risks, blockers, and dependencies.

• Design, implement, and maintain Python-based services and workflows that integrate LLMs and GenAI capabilities with client systems and applications.

• Construct agentic and multi-step workflows utilizing frameworks and patterns such as LangGraph, AgentCore, and LangChain.

• Develop tools and APIs for agents, including schemas, error contracts, versioning, and observability hooks.

• Utilize retrieval/RAG and search abstractions, optimizing top-k results, scoring, and filtering.

• Oversee monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and the iterative enhancement of workflow operational health.

• Establish tracing, logging, metrics, LLM observability, evaluation, regression, and safety tooling.

• Operate within platform, security, and governance frameworks, including RBAC, data access boundaries, PII management, logging, and auditing.

• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, UX designers, clients, engineers, product owners, and domain experts.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers and consultants through code reviews and collaborative work.

• Contribute to internal enablement through the creation of playbooks, examples, and reusable patterns.

• Leverage AI tools such as Glean, Devin, Windsurf, and Claude to expedite design, development, testing, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in a data science-related position, concentrating on machine learning and deep learning.

• Proficient Python programming skills with a focus on creating efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Experience in developing and training custom deep learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

• Practical experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Azure Machine Learning Studio, Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, and DGX platforms.

• Hands-on experience with prominent open-source and major model providers such as Llama, Anthropic's Claude, and OpenAI.

• Strong understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and advanced deep learning principles.

• Familiarity with generative AI concepts, including fine-tuning, transfer learning, and RAG methodologies.

• Experience with the machine learning lifecycle, encompassing model deployment, monitoring, drift detection/retraining, and canary testing.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with pre-sales activities, covering project scoping, estimation, and solution design.
