This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of key aspects of the quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision process, which includes calculations, supporting schedules, workpapers, and variance analysis.
• Examine tax account activities, adjustments from return-to-provision, uncertain tax positions, and factors influencing reported results and cash taxes.
• Assist in fulfilling tax reporting obligations in a public company setting.
• Oversee the daily execution of U.S. income tax compliance tasks in collaboration with external service providers.
• Manage deliverables, timelines, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely filings.
• Provide support for international tax compliance and associated reporting as required.
• Investigate and analyze tax matters arising from business operations, transactions, and organizational changes.
• Convert complex tax concepts into actionable recommendations.
• Assist with transfer pricing, intercompany tax issues, and legal entity reporting.
• Enhance tax processes, quality of documentation, controls, and data integrity.
• Contribute to automation, analytics, technology initiatives, and AI-driven tools while ensuring appropriate governance and controls.
• Aid in internal and external audits by providing reconciliations, schedules, and necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies.
• Help create a scalable, well-documented, and effective tax operating model.
• Work collaboratively with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and external advisors.
• Travel occasionally for quarter-close activities, team collaboration, and to meet tax deadlines.
• 6+ years of experience in corporate income tax, gained through public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.
• In-depth knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate income tax accounting principles.
• Proven experience in supporting or managing significant elements of a tax provision process.
• Strong foundation in U.S. income tax provision and compliance.
• Capable of independently managing recurring workstreams in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficient with tax systems, financial systems, Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Ownership mentality and ability to work collaboratively across various functions.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA certification is preferred.
• Big Four public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with national or mid-sized public accounting firms that support public company clients is preferred.
• Background in supporting public company tax reporting obligations is preferred.
• Familiarity with international tax, transfer pricing, legal entity reporting, or multi-jurisdictional tax matters is preferred.
• Experience with tax technology, Power BI, Alteryx, automation tools, or AI-enabled solutions is preferred.
