Principal Strategist – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to CDW regarding new technological offerings that address challenges and opportunities within the healthcare sector.

• Serve as a thought leader in utilizing technology to make a positive impact on the healthcare industry.

• Engage with customer leadership to influence future strategies and enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Showcase and demonstrate strategy, solutions, and partner technologies to both customers and CDW.

• Stay informed on technology trends and advancements.

• Create CDW solution sets that tackle customer issues within the industry.

• Collaborate with partners to design solutions that address genuine needs beyond conventional technology infrastructure.

• Assess new technology methods and solutions for their value, problems they solve, market viability, and strategic alignment.

• Work with various teams at CDW to develop solution packages that include services, logistics, and additional capabilities.

• Identify target-market accounts and evaluate and define solution opportunities.

• Determine which markets to target.

• Foster executive relationships within customer organizations and with partners.

• Influence requirements for target opportunities among customer executives, program leads, project leads, and technical experts.

• Collaborate with sales teams as a subject matter expert for customer interactions, presentations, conference calls, webinars, and large-scale solutions.

• Clearly articulate value propositions to sellers, partners, and customers.

• Participate in customer onsite meetings, business reviews, and industry events as necessary.

• Represent CDW at external networking events, conferences, and gatherings.

• Educate CDW sellers and sales teams on trends and solutions while mentoring them on customer messaging.

• Exceptional customer-facing skills with a proven history of building relationships with leaders.

• In-depth understanding of the customer's business and established credibility as a career leader within the market.

• Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.

• Strong insight into the market landscape.

• A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in the specific industry.

• Proven success in navigating procurement departments for additional opportunities.

• Knowledge of technology trends, architecture, and strategic roadmaps.

• Experience in leading the implementation of technology solutions, including integrations, configurations, troubleshooting, training, adoption, and support.

• Capability to influence across all organizational functions.

• Strong strategic planning skills.

• Proficient oral and written communication abilities.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Skills in collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.

• Ability to work independently and devise solutions.

• Effective communication with management, peers, and colleagues.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities/projects, adhere to deadlines, facilitate change, and delegate responsibilities.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Experience as a CIO, CTO, IT Vice President, or IT Senior Leader is preferred.

• Experience in leading IT strategy and operations within the specific industry is preferred.

• Over 10 years’ experience in assessing business drivers and converting them into quantifiable, actionable solutions is preferred.

• Understanding of implementing new technologies in a highly regulated and complex technological ecosystem is preferred.

• Industry-related certifications such as CISSP, CSSP, CISM, CRISC, or GCIH are preferred.

• Familiarity with FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, and CPRA is preferred.
