This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assisting the Epidemiology team by preparing Real World data, providing guidance on data analytic strategies, and supporting stakeholders in various epidemiological analytic initiatives.
• Programming and conducting statistical analyses under the guidance of epidemiologists/statisticians, including data coding, algorithm creation, dataset linkage, and utilizing statistical packages or platforms.
• Aiding in statistical programming to develop innovative methods for data standardization, visualization, and reporting of observational data.
• Supporting Medical Affairs (e.g., observational studies utilizing RWD); Global Patient Safety and Risk Management (e.g., conducting analyses to obtain background rates) for the creation of regulatory/safety documents, as well as Clinical Development (e.g., evaluating patient populations/protocol feasibility).
• The role will collaborate with Epidemiologists to maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage responsibilities across multiple projects and stakeholder engagements.
• Delivering effective communication to ensure successful and timely project execution.
• Resolving technical challenges using relevant experience and expertise.
• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, economics) with over 5 years of experience in RWE analytics within the pharmaceutical industry, CRO, or academic institutions.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency in SQL is essential. Additionally, proficiency in SAS or R is required.
• Extensive expertise in analyzing RWE data sources such as Optum (Clinformatics Datamart® and Market Clarity), Truveta, and UK Biobank. Experience with clinical trial and/or registry data analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with relational databases and a solid understanding of claims and ancillary file structures.
• Experience with applied statistics, including regression analysis (OLS, longitudinal, logistic, Cox, GLM/GEE), survival analyses (Kaplan-Meier, cumulative incidence, accelerated failure time models), and propensity weighting.
• Strong project management skills; capable of prioritizing various tasks and objectives to ensure timely completion.
• Confident and proficient in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
