This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• A key leader within the Statistical Programming team responsible for guiding one or more project teams in the creation and delivery of Project Statistical Analyses.

• Lead at least one designated project team of Statistical Programmers to ensure timely delivery of statistical analyses. This includes managing resources, study-level metrics, timelines, budget, and quality.

• Represent statistical programming in internal cross-functional project team meetings.

• Collaborate with the Project Statistician and Client to review and implement any specific processes or procedures required by the client.

• Examine Analysis Plans and provide constructive feedback to the authors.

• Establish program and documentation templates for new projects.

• Develop and/or review specifications for analysis datasets.

• Write, modify, and maintain programs that generate complex analysis datasets, data listings, summary tables, and figures as specified in the Statistical Analysis plans.

• Prepare programming project deliverables and documentation for client delivery as outlined in SOPs.

• Compile final analysis documentation for client delivery, which includes the analysis DEFINE.xml, Reviewers Guide, and any other necessary project-specific documentation.

• Mentor junior programmers in effective communication and introduce them to the project management skills essential for successfully implementing and managing a project.

• Contribute to process improvements, including the development and maintenance of a centralized macro library, departmental procedures, and any corresponding Standard Operating Procedures.

• Provide time and resource estimates for tasks that fall outside the scope of existing projects.

• Serve as a technical consultant to other departments.

• Attend client meetings.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA or equivalent degree.

• At least 10 years of SAS programming experience or a comparable skill set; with a minimum of 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Clinical/Statistical SAS Programmer.

• Excellent understanding and extensive experience with: SAS/Base SAS Macro Facility, including project- and department-level macros.

• Knowledge of database design principles.

• Familiarity with general statistical concepts and procedures.

• Any additional SAS modules as required by the specific job position.

• Strong knowledge and experience in using ODS to produce output for various destinations (Word, Excel, XML).

• Experience in creating complex SAS Macros to enhance programming processes, quality, and efficiency.

• Experience in developing technical programming specifications.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Strong understanding and experience with CDISC Data Standards.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Proven experience in leading programming project teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
