Principal Solutions Architect, API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with engineering leaders regarding their architecture, workflows, and requirements.

• Develop proofs utilizing actual customer addresses, routes, and datasets across areas such as geocoding, routing, optimization, search, address validation, and maps.

• Achieve success in competitive evaluations against providers like Google Maps, Mapbox, and others through effective data utilization.

• Create migration documentation, code examples, and tools to minimize switching costs.

• Take ownership of the technical win through customer approval and transition to implementation.

• Develop reusable demos, migration kits, and evaluation frameworks.

• Establish the technical sales function for MapQuest APIs from the ground up.

• Provide support to two enterprise sales representatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in building proofs using REST APIs, JSON, Postman or curl, Python or JavaScript, and complex real-world data.

• Capability to transform an API into a functioning proof within hours.

• Ability to analyze geocoding errors and address real-world data challenges.

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with developers and VPs.

• Comprehension of the technical requirements necessary to progress a deal.

• Familiarity with platforms such as Google Maps Platform, Mapbox, ESRI, HERE, TomTom, or similar location services is a significant advantage.
