This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the sales team and the Customer Solution Consultant to ascertain customer needs, articulate a product set or solution to fulfill those needs, advocate for the proposed solution, and modify the solution as required for the customer.
• Spearhead the technical aspects of the sale, including the creation of artifacts such as: API integration architecture, application descriptions, system flow diagrams, input/outputs, connectivity, project schedules, reporting, estimates, and SLAs.
• Ensure that the product, service design, and/or solution is appropriate, the right fit, and comprehensive for the customer.
• Create and deliver presentations on technical architecture and/or product/solution design to the customer.
• Design payment acceptance solutions that encompass card processing and ACH/eCheck, including funding, settlement, reporting, and dispute workflows.
• Lead discussions on API integration with ISV partners and merchants about REST APIs, webhooks, hosted payment pages, and mobile SDKs; develop and present sandbox demonstrations and proofs of concept.
• Address PCI-DSS scope considerations and NACHA compliance requirements as part of the proposed solution design.
• Educate customers on the unique advantages of our products in enhancing their competitive position and delivering ROI, customizing messaging for each decision-maker within the organization, and influencing the sales process while addressing customers’ objections.
• Foster relationships and develop advocates within the customer organization to help build consensus on behalf of CSG.
• Inform the customer about the value-based benefits, scalability, narrative, ROI, and configuration of the solution.
• Ensure customers and prospects grasp the complexities of our products and services by translating our terminology into their language.
• May collaborate with less experienced team members on goal setting, work prioritization, product training, and presentation skills.
• May assist in preparing RFPs/RFIs and serve as a mentor to new team members.
• Work in conjunction with the Bid Management Team, Legal Team, and Partnerships Team for any NDAs, proposals, SOWs, MSAs, and Reseller agreements as needed.
• Notify the sales team about potential risks to deal closure and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Meet or surpass assigned productivity goals while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Pursue new business and additional business development opportunities within target accounts concerning product enhancements or initiatives.
• Monitor economic and industry trends as well as competitive threats, understanding their implications for customer business with both existing and new target accounts.
• Advise and inform colleagues about potential integrations with our product portfolio to provide a more comprehensive solution tailored to business requirements.
• Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 20%, as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive pre-sales or solution design/delivery experience in CSG’s target markets: Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, Government, Property Management, and ISV/embedded software platforms.
• 5+ years of experience in payments: card processing, ACH/eCheck, merchant acquiring, and gateway, payfac, or ISO operating models.
• Proficient in REST APIs, JSON, Postman, and webhooks, with the capability to conduct technical demos and construct sandbox proofs of concept.
• Experience in supporting ISV or embedded-payments partnerships is highly desirable.
• Proven success in driving new business and achieving quota in a pre-sales role for large to mid-sized enterprises.
• Ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospects, demonstrating results while leveraging expertise to gain credibility with key prospects.
• Executive-level presence with the maturity and strategic planning experience necessary to lead large, complex sales opportunities.
• Capable of assessing situations and quickly devising the appropriate solutions.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate complex sales deals.
• Ability to act as a liaison between the customer/prospect and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Proven track record as a change manager, skilled at building high-performance partnerships while driving transformational breakthroughs within target accounts.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language in a business context.
