Principal Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete architecture for Salesforce-focused solutions that enhance student engagement within intricate, multi-system environments.

• Create scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures that align with business objectives and the long-term platform strategy.

• Act as the architectural authority for Salesforce implementations, integrations, and associated cloud services.

• Direct the design and integration of Salesforce-based applications, ensuring the effective utilization of Apex, Lightning, platform events, flows, and the Salesforce security framework.

• Define and implement integration patterns centered around Salesforce, utilizing REST APIs, event-driven messaging, and Azure services like APIM and Azure Service Bus.

• Design and supervise cloud-native and containerized services using Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker to enhance Salesforce functionalities.

• Manage Salesforce-related data architecture, which includes object modeling, canonical data definitions, synchronization strategies, and data quality standards.

• Oversee data migrations, batch, and real-time data jobs, along with data remediation using tools such as TIBCO TCI or comparable platforms.

• Develop and enforce a security architecture focused on Salesforce, encompassing access control, OAuth flows, API security, encryption, and compliance measures.

• Actively participate in hands-on development for complex or high-impact projects and assist in troubleshooting production issues.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to convert requirements into practical, well-architected technical solutions.

• Guide engineers and technical leads, advocating for best practices in architecture, coding, and system design.

• Continuously enhance development, deployment, and operational processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands-on software development experience.

• Proven track record as a Solutions Architect.

• Extensive expertise in Salesforce development and platform architecture (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning).

• Strong background in designing and integrating .NET-based services.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, including APIM, Azure Service Bus, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Solid understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns, and system-level trade-offs.

• Experience in designing and executing data migration and integration strategies.

• Demonstrated capability to manage architecture from design through to production.

• Experience in designing event-driven and asynchronous integration architectures is preferred.

• Strong grasp of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and production readiness is preferred.

• Familiarity with agile, iterative delivery environments is preferred.

• Previous experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead is preferred.
