This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the technical strategy for scaling across various language ecosystems, including .NET, Go, and Rust.
• Lead the automation of end-to-end CVE remediation processes, from detection to verified release.
• Establish direction for agentic/AI-driven patch generation and implement safety guardrails.
• Define the technical direction for the platform concerning package indexing, build and packaging pipelines, registry mirrors, and orchestration tools.
• Make decisions regarding build-versus-buy and sequencing for integrating new ecosystems.
• Collaborate with Ecosystem, Platform, Delivery, Sustaining, and Security teams on the platform roadmap.
• Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers while leading architectural design reviews.
• Create documentation and RFCs to support other teams.
• Define SLOs and oversee incident response and postmortem analyses.
• Investigate issues related to toolchains, compilers, and dependency resolution that impact pipeline reliability.
• Over 12 years of experience in designing, building, and managing infrastructure for language ecosystems or developer platforms.
• Proven ability to set technical direction at the Principal level across multiple teams.
• Hands-on experience in establishing or substantially enhancing support for a language ecosystem.
• Ideally familiar with .NET/NuGet, Go/modules, or Rust/Cargo.
• Strong expertise in Go programming.
• A history of reliably automating manual remediation workflows.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD, agentic pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with Docker/OCI, Kubernetes, Terraform, and pipeline tools like GitHub Actions, Argo, Tekton, or their equivalents.
• Experience in managing infrastructure at scale across diverse ecosystems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to toolchains, compilers, and packaging across multiple ecosystems.
• Excellent written communication skills in a remote and distributed environment.
• A Principal ownership mindset and capability to make ecosystem-generalization decisions even with incomplete information.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of SLSA, SBOMs, sigstore, provenance, attestations, and secure-by-default packaging.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Linux distributions, packaging, and reproducible build systems, including Alpine, Wolfi, Debian, Bazel, CMake, or Ninja.
• Nice-to-have: Understanding of AI/ML packaging and infrastructure, including PyTorch and TensorFlow, in cloud/Kubernetes settings.
