Principal Software Engineer, India

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• The Principal Software Engineer plays a vital role in managing all technical components of the Fraud & Risk Intelligence suite's implementation, operations, and maintenance by collaborating with our development and integration teams to ensure the optimal technical solutions are established for our new and existing platforms and applications.

• This position will evaluate and contribute to system designs, create technical documentation, enforce coding and design standards, and offer technical support to the team.

• Collaboration with clients is essential to validate design strategies and assist in troubleshooting system issues as required.

• Represent Application Architecture to align and establish strategies across various teams, including Security, Infrastructure, Networking, Governance, DevOps, and Support.

• Lead proof of concept (POC) and integration design initiatives across products.

• Develop technical demonstrations for service patterns, integration efforts, and contemporary coding practices.

• Collaborate with development teams across functional areas to prioritize capabilities, drive architectural standards and governance, and support key strategic initiatives.

• Partner with program managers to identify issues/risks and necessary mitigations to ensure successful delivery of comprehensive strategic designs.

• Engage with scrum teams throughout the organization to clarify business and technical capability requirements and explore dependencies.

• Review technical artifacts to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Take ownership and lead technical and functional enhancements across platforms/applications.

• Foster respected working relationships and trust with business stakeholders, technology leaders, architects, and developers.

• Articulate and communicate a vision for the company’s strategy and technology to both business and technology leaders.

• Publish technical whitepapers and architecture documentation on standards, guidelines, and innovations.

• Effectively convey conceptual ideas and design rationale to executive stakeholders and the development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• BE/BTech/MCA/Equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college with over 6 years of relevant experience.

• More than 8 years of substantial technical experience in independently managing highly complex projects that span multiple business units, divisions, functions, and regions.

• Ability to communicate design rationale clearly and concisely while building consensus and relationships in a matrix environment.

• Capacity to think about business concepts in a manner that is detached from how business functions are executed through technology.

• Extensive understanding and hands-on coding experience with Core Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring, and Hibernate, with the capability to dive deep and utilize advanced features to resolve complex issues.

• Proficient in Angular 4 and above, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS.

• Experience with RDBMS databases, particularly strong knowledge of MS-SQL server and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.

• Familiarity with application servers, particularly with a focus on Tomcat.

• Experience with messaging systems, preferably RabbitMQ.

• RabbitMQ integration experience utilizing Spring AMQP.

• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts, alongside a passion for design patterns and their applicability.

• Experience in setting up load balancers and clusters.

• Application monitoring proficiency using various tools and frameworks.

• Exposure to Cloud Technologies, including Dockers, Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS.
