Principal Software Engineer – Cloud Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable backend services utilizing serverless and container-based architectures on AWS.

• Develop and enhance core platform functionalities, focusing on compute-intensive workloads and distributed data systems.

• Produce high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested production code.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code and Cursor) to expedite development, facilitate debugging, and enhance code quality.

• Create and maintain integrations with AI systems, including developing and managing MCP servers for structured interaction.

• Play a role in incorporating AI tools into team workflows and engineering methodologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product, design, and engineering) to deliver robust solutions.

• Provide support and mentorship to fellow engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture.

• Engage in Agile processes, encompassing estimation, planning, and iterative delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack software engineering.

• Extensive experience in building cloud-based applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3).

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.

• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).

• Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar).

• Direct experience in developing or working with MCP servers or similar frameworks.

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (TDD, CI/CD, DevOps).

• Experience in Agile development environments.
