Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +14 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and lead a compact team of development engineers, functioning as both a mentor and an active contributor in technical aspects.

• Serve as the internal technical authority on Skimmer's latest systems.

• Spearhead the transformation of existing features to prioritize AI integration and interactivity for our professionals and their clients.

• Employ AI tools and best practices to enhance the productivity and efficiency of your development group.

• Collaborate with our integrations team whenever feasible to ensure a seamless customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership or player/coach position, managing a development team’s prioritized tasks within a SaaS startup.

• Established proficiency in replatforming and enhancing existing products with a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Competence in utilizing and implementing AI tools (preferably Claude) to boost development productivity.

• Experience in leading development teams and actively participating in engineering leadership initiatives.

• Expertise in NodeJS development, along with proficiency in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL.

• High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a proven history of successfully leading cross-functional projects.
