Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable systems that collect and process extensive volumes of security telemetry (TBs per day)

• Take ownership of integrations across EDR, IAM, Cloud, and SaaS data sources

• Manage the transformation layer that converts diverse data into a standardized, enriched, and queryable model

• Create an engine that correlates entities from various data sources

• Develop and maintain both real-time and batch processing systems

• Work on fundamental search capabilities across significant amounts of data

• Collaborate with detection engineers, threat hunters, and product engineers to ensure the platform maintains properly structured data

• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of Nebulock’s platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in building backend distributed systems and handling data

• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, Rust, or similar programming languages

• Familiarity with AWS or GCP

• Extensive experience with data pipelines

• Experience with event-driven systems

• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and performance trade-offs

• Experience with OLAP databases

• Capability to adapt, iterate, and deliver quickly

• Eagerness for growth and a desire to thrive in a low-ego environment

• Experience in building or working with search systems over large datasets is a plus

• Cybersecurity background is a plus

• Experience in a startup environment is a plus
