Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and shape the long-term technical strategy and architecture across various products and platforms.

• Oversee intricate, cross-team projects from the design phase through to production.

• Set engineering standards, architectural frameworks, and best practices.

• Recognize and mitigate technical risks, scalability challenges, and operational complexities.

• Take ownership of the reliability, maintainability, and ongoing evolution of essential production systems.

• Lead the resolution of complex production issues that impact customers.

• Mentor engineers and enhance the technical skills within the organization.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and leadership teams to ensure technical decisions align with business objectives.

• Design and refine AI agents, engineering workflows, and automation strategies that enhance organizational efficiency.

• Assess AI-generated designs, code, tests, and documentation while ensuring their quality and accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in developing backend applications using Python and FastAPI or a similar framework.

• In-depth expertise in designing and implementing REST APIs and distributed microservice architectures.

• More than 5 years of experience in architecting, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications utilizing AWS serverless technologies and associated cloud infrastructure.

• Proven track record of establishing technical direction across multiple engineering teams or significant platform initiatives.

• Demonstrated ability to validate, refine, and fully own AI-generated designs, code, tests, documentation, and architectural decisions before production deployment.

• Experience working in an AI-centric engineering environment where AI agents are an integral part of daily software development.

• Proficient in designing, building, and integrating AI agents or agentic workflows that automate engineering tasks or enhance customer-facing products.

• Strong knowledge of AI system architecture, prompt engineering, tool orchestration, context management, evaluation techniques, and operational governance.

• Experience in developing front-end applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar technologies.
