Principal Software Engineer – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Advocate for and promote the use of AI in Software Development.

• Incorporate AI functionalities into product features, which includes agentic workflows and AI-enhanced user experiences.

• Provide technical guidance in addressing complex software development issues.

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions using .NET/.NET Core, C#, and SQL.

• Manage the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing.

• Create clean, reusable, and maintainable code.

• Lead, evaluate, and mentor team members during code reviews and architectural discussions.

• Identify dependencies and resolve obstacles for fellow engineers.

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and convert them into well-structured solutions.

• Engage in Agile planning, refinement, and retrospective activities.

• Collaborate on strategic product initiatives, including AI-driven product solutions, new modules and applications, legacy modernization, and optimization of application operations.

• Work within cross-functional product teams alongside Engineers and QA Engineers, adhering to Agile SDLC practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and developing SaaS web applications using JavaScript, .NET and C#, Java, or related technologies.

• Proven experience utilizing AI tools within the Software Development domain (Claude, Copilot, Devin, Lovable, etc.).

• Practical experience in integrating LLMs into production software, including prompt engineering and API integration with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar technologies.

• Experience with data replication patterns, ETL pipelines, or designing connector/adapter frameworks.

• Strong background in modernizing legacy architectures.

• Capability to read, quickly comprehend, diagnose, and adapt legacy codebases.

• Expertise in database security principles and best practices.

• Ability to mentor junior and mid-level engineers in industry best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, QA, and executive stakeholders.

• Familiarity with enterprise financial systems, such as ERPs, GL platforms, FP&A, or reporting tools, is a plus.
