Junior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop tools, automation, and applications that cater to internal business requirements across marketing, research, and workflow enhancement.

• Design, test, and refine workflows that utilize language models for tasks such as classification, summarization, extraction, generation, and search assistance.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Data Science, and other business teams to convert requirements into scalable solutions.

• Create Python-based services, APIs, and internal tools that integrate AI functionalities into existing workflows.

• Assess and enhance system performance regarding quality, speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Recognize edge cases, enhance system behavior, and contribute to best practices in applied AI development.

• Keep abreast of the changing AI landscape and assess tools and methodologies for potential adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous internship experience in software engineering.

• Practical experience in developing LLM-based or applied AI workflows.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• A pragmatic approach to creating useful, reliable, and responsible solutions.

• Familiarity with agent-based coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Cursor.

• Ability to comprehend stakeholder requirements and convert them into effective solutions.

• Comfortable working on varied projects and navigating ambiguous challenges.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Preferred: knowledge of LangGraph/LangChain, Google ADK, or OpenAI Agent SDK.

• Preferred: familiarity with MLFlow, Arize, LangSmith, or comparable evaluation frameworks.

• Preferred: experience with front-end prototyping.

• Candidates moving to the first interview stage must present a photo ID on camera.
