This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve annual net revenue exceeding $750,000 through client cultivation, project initiatives, and strategic business development.
• Build and sustain client relationships throughout California while securing new business opportunities.
• Broaden the firm's client network via networking, marketing efforts, relationship building, and industry engagement.
• Spearhead the development of proposals, client interviews, strategic pursuits, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee environmental site investigation and remediation projects from initial planning to regulatory closure.
• Offer senior-level technical expertise in investigation design, evaluating remedial alternatives, corrective actions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on projects concerning groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and sediment contamination.
• Mentor, nurture, and support technical personnel throughout the organization.
• Supervise technical reports, work plans, remedial designs, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
• Represent the firm at industry organizations, conferences, professional associations, and strategic forums.
• Collaborate with practice leaders to identify interdisciplinary opportunities and enhance the consulting platform.
• Over 20 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting, site investigation, and remediation.
• A bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other relevant professional registration is preferred but not mandatory.
• Extensive experience with contamination in groundwater, soil, soil vapor, sediment, petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and metals.
• Experience with utility, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, and/or brownfield redevelopment sites is preferred.
• Proven track record in managing complex environmental remediation projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and remediation programs.
• Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, UST, and state-led cleanup programs is preferred.
• Experience in designing and/or overseeing remedial systems, excavation, groundwater treatment, vapor mitigation, and site restoration is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to forge senior-level client relationships and contribute to business development and revenue growth.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and managing financial performance.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to identify opportunities, develop markets, and aid in the long-term growth of the consulting practice.
• Experience with projects ranging from approximately $100,000 to $25 million.
• Must reside in Northern California or the Bay Area.
• Periodic travel throughout California is required.
• Competitive base salary ranging from $170,000 to $200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
