This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Strategically lead and implement security compliance initiatives across Akamai's global enterprise portfolio.
• Supervise compliance strategy and execution in accordance with regulatory, industry, customer-driven, and defense frameworks.
• Analyze intricate requirements and develop scalable control frameworks.
• Manage comprehensive audit initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design and execute adaptable, unified control frameworks for commercial, federal, and DoD authorization requirements.
• Partner with security architects, software engineers, and system owners to create, test, and maintain technically verifiable controls.
• Align controls with federal, defense, and international standards.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for 3PAOs, C3PAOs, external audit entities, and defense agencies.
• Oversee assessment lifecycles, evidence collection, and remediation of findings.
• Integrate compliance gaps, audit outcomes, and regulatory changes into risk models, written reports, and strategic briefings.
• Facilitate continuous monitoring and recurring audit processes to ensure ongoing readiness.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• BA/BS or Graduate Degree.
• Familiarity with security compliance programs across various frameworks, including DoD SRG IL4/IL5/IL6, CMMC, NIST SP 800-171/53, FedRAMP, SOC 1/2/3, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS, or GovRAMP.
• Experience in a Cloud Service Provider environment or as a consultant/assessor with a Third-Party Assessment Organization.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with senior executive leadership and government/defense stakeholders.
• Skill in translating compliance requirements into strategic business facilitators.
• Credentials such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, CCA/CCP (CMMC Assessor/Professional), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
