This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Design and implement in vivo pharmacology studies for Neurology programs involving rodents and non-human primates leading to IND submission.
β’ Collaborate with toxicology and translational teams to ensure the generation of robust, reproducible, and translatable in vivo pharmacology data.
β’ Provide insights for dose selection and make informed go/no-go decisions.
β’ Develop and carry out pharmacodynamic and efficacy evaluations.
β’ Troubleshoot assays and validate quality-control data from CROs and external collaborators.
β’ Oversee CRO relationships and track the progress of studies.
β’ Identify potential study risks and deliver progress updates during team meetings.
β’ Analyze in vivo pharmacology endpoints, including PK/bioanalysis alongside pharmacodynamic and/or efficacy endpoints.
β’ Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry focused on in vivo pharmacology.
β’ Preferably experienced with small molecules and antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs).
β’ Strong preference for experience in rare disease or developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE) models.
β’ Demonstrated strong intellectual curiosity, including regular engagement with the scientific community and familiarity with relevant literature.
β’ Proven experience and willingness to design pharmacology studies and coordinate external efforts.
β’ Familiarity with IND-enabling studies.
β’ Experience in writing regulatory or technical reports.
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions in a dynamic, fast-paced biotech setting.
β’ Experience in characterizing rodent Neurology models, test article dosing, tissue processing, qPCR, Western blot, and ELISA.
β’ Proven ability to drive work through CROs and external partners.
