Principal SAP/SAC Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development and configuration of an SAP Analytics Cloud tool within NBCUniversal Corporate technology.

• Provide an effective SAP Planning and Analytical capability to meet the needs of various business sectors.

• Accountable for gathering requirements, designing, and constructing analytics solutions tailored for SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and/or SAP BW4/HANA.

• Simplify SAP technologies for business users to illustrate the "art of the possible."

• Design and implement the proposed analytics solution.

• Engage with a diverse range of technologies including native HANA modeling, HANA Smart Data Integration, SAP SLT for replication, ABAP CDS View development for analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and SAP BW4/HANA.

• Lead sessions for gathering requirements to define data acquisition, virtual data models in SAP HANA, and report layouts in SAP Analytics Cloud or other analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI.

• Direct and develop proposed analytic solutions while supporting development, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and the go-live process.

• Collaborate with SAP BTP or HANA Administrators and Security team members to set up and configure user access.

• Create Data Analytics Reports utilizing SAP Cloud Analytics.

• Work alongside functional teams to convert user stories and problem statements into project/solution requirements.

• Partner with extended Data and Analytics teams to design data pipelines for SAC.

• Rapidly develop solutions through an Agile process using incremental minimal viable products to gather user feedback and refine towards a final solution.

• Collaborate with functional teams to promote the deployment and adoption of delivered solutions.

• Educate and support key users regarding SAC usage and requests for information display in the system, as necessary.

• Engage with lead and business clients and Product teams to strategize and enhance SAP Analytics.

• Provide recommendations, create customized solutions as needed, and manage follow-ups and evaluations for all SAP planning requirements.

• Develop new Planning scenarios, interfaces, cubes, and other reporting structures as identified by business needs/projects.

• Assist with stabilization and simplification initiatives aimed at enhancing overall SAP Analytics processes and performance.

• Review and update support and operations documentation as required.

• Participate in production support rotations during critical activity periods such as month-end, quarter-end, and year-end when necessary.

• Ensure consistency of master data between MDG and related systems.

• Evaluate and enhance existing master data interfaces to resolve master data issues in SAP ECC, SAP S/4, BW, BPC, and any downstream systems.

• Coordinate with other Product teams to ensure prompt resolution of all issues and to foster positive working relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent foreign degree).

• 15 years of experience in the offered position or a related role.

• Proficiency in Data Analytics, with the capability to connect development requirements to business objectives.

• Experience with BI & Reporting Analytics tools such as SAP BO, AOE, QlikView, MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Tableau.

• 12 years of experience in providing infrastructure requirements.

• 10 years of experience in delivering SAP SAC user training.

• 10 years of expertise in SAP data & Analytics products, including various data and analytics solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• 5 years of experience in SAP SAC Analytics with the ability to relate development requirements to business needs.

• 5 years of experience implementing SAP SAC in a multinational context.
