Principal SAP MII & ME Architect – Aerospace & Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architectural design, strategic planning, and implementation for the enhancement, scaling, and optimization of a global SAP MII and SAP ME framework.

• Design, configure, and implement SAP ME solutions to effectively manage shop-floor operations, routing, data collection, non-conformance issues, and product traceability.

• Create robust, real-time data flows that connect SAP ERP (ECC/S/4HANA) with SAP ME/MII, while excluding direct SCADA layer responsibilities.

• Ensure that all architectural designs for SAP ME/MII are in strict alignment with A&D standards, including ITAR, EAR, NIST, and cybersecurity protocols.

• Maintain and oversee the global SAP MII/ME template, ensuring that regional implementations comply with core standards and minimize the need for custom coding.

• Direct and support offshore/onshore development teams through intricate troubleshooting, code evaluations, and performance optimization of data queries and ME configurations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15+ years of extensive technical expertise in SAP MII, SAP ME (Manufacturing Execution), and core SAP ERP integration (PP, MM, QM, PM).

• Demonstrated history of managing full-lifecycle SAP ME implementations along with large-scale, multi-site upgrades of SAP MII versions.

• Advanced skills in SAP ME Shop Floor Management, SAP ME ERP Integration (SMEI), Java, JavaScript, XSLT, XML, and NetWeaver technology stacks.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP HANA, SQL Server database architecture, and high-performance query optimization techniques.

• Direct experience within highly secure, federally compliant networks and complex manufacturing environments.
