Principal Regulatory Advisor – Non-Food

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Offer technical leadership and regulatory insight within non-food consumer product sectors.

• Oversee regulatory interpretation, horizon scanning, compliance risk management, technical quality assurance, and continuous enhancement.

• Prepare, review, question, and authorize packaging copy/product specifications based on supplier details.

• Ensure packaging copy adheres to existing and upcoming EU and UK regulations, codes of conduct, client specifications, and industry standards.

• Confirm that program operations utilize the most recent SOPs, crib sheets, checklists, and essential regulatory criteria.

• Assist advisors with intricate regulatory inquiries and best-practice recommendations.

• Direct training for the advisory team, including cross-training and onboarding of new advisors.

• Create, design, and sustain working instructions, crib sheets, and checklists.

• Engage with regulatory bodies and enforcement organizations.

• Conduct weekly horizon scanning and oversee legislation, guidance, news, events, and trends.

• Develop a thorough technical sign-off checklist.

• Review and authorize regulatory submissions to prevent inaccuracies or incomplete documents.

• Communicate with clients, suppliers, design agencies, print houses, and both internal and external stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary contact for complex technical inquiries from clients.

• Address claims or complaints arising from advisory mistakes.

• Manage client retainer requests while providing constructive feedback and solutions.

• Participate in internal and external meetings, collaborating with business development, account managers, clients, suppliers, and enforcement agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently employed in a Regulatory Affairs or product quality position.

• Knowledge of UK and EU consumer protection laws.

• Capability to interpret and implement retailer corporate policies and UK/EU legislation.

• Demonstrated experience with UK and EU consumer protection legislation.

• Experience in training and mentoring technical teams.

• Proven track record working directly with large retailers or multinational brands.

• Ability to provide technical leadership and regulatory expertise across non-food consumer product categories.
