This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the strategic and practical architecture for GitLab’s product and technical marketing launches, both minor and major.
• Revamp the launch operating model by integrating AI agents at its core.
• Oversee program management for initiatives that encompass Product Management, Product Design, Growth Marketing, Communications and Social, and Field Enablement.
• Develop and expand a launch framework accommodating over 15 minor and major launches each year.
• Create a portfolio program practice that maps dependencies across Product, Design, PTM, Growth, Communications, and Field.
• Deliver production AI agent workflows designed to minimize manual coordination and set quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate minor launches, significant event launches, and weekly signal announcements.
• Integrate product decisions into PTM and other go-to-market functions ensuring clear handoffs.
• Keep field enablement aligned when reliant on messaging and sales assets.
• Craft early decision points, pinpoint blockers, and revise stages and calendars as priorities shift.
• Conduct retrospectives and enhance program systems.
• Manage a concurrent portfolio of PTM-dependent initiatives, coordinating owners, dates, and tradeoffs.
• Provide leadership with insights into risks, options, recommendations, and context for decisions.
• Align go-to-market functions when workstreams vie for resources.
• Systematize program processes and introduce quality controls into the workflow.
• Collaborate with Marketing’s AI Transformation Owner to promote department-wide adoption and governance.
• Escalate decisions promptly with clear requests.
• Close the feedback loop on results with the data team and apply insights to future cycles.
• Report directly to the VP of Product & Technical Marketing.
• Proven experience in program management for go-to-market initiatives within the high-tech sector.
• Direct experience with complex, multi-stakeholder, cross-functional projects.
• Expertise in building and scaling program operations in large, distributed organizations, demonstrating tangible results.
• Practical experience with AI agents and production automations utilized by real teams.
• History of transforming manual tasks into AI workflows and facilitating their adoption by others.
• Experience in establishing launch and program frameworks while avoiding unnecessary processes.
• Strong comprehension of product releases and their implications for go-to-market teams.
• Ability to identify risks and present clear options for prioritization.
• Experience in measuring success based on pipeline, adoption, or consumption metrics rather than mere activity counts.
• Capability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams without compromising quality or trust.
• Excellent writing and public speaking skills suited for executive communication.
• Proficient in driving decisions amid competing priorities and influencing without direct authority, including among senior leaders.
• Familiarity with project management tools integrated with AI automation, particularly GitLab.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and adhere to the company’s travel policy.
