Principal Product Software Engineer – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and execute task-oriented AI agents that support the audit work of thousands of professionals.

• Develop systems for document comprehension and the extraction of structured data.

• Lead the delivery of production-grade AI services, ensuring rapid deployment of functional capabilities.

• Collaborate across TAA's product range, empowering other teams while crafting AI solutions.

• Design and execute AI functionalities utilizing Python and contemporary frameworks.

• Construct intelligent document processing systems, automated workflows, and AI-driven analytics.

• Engage in Audit’s collaborative model, where engineers grasp and address business challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 9 years of experience in software application development.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) or AI systems.

• Competence in full-stack development.

• Familiarity with Agile/XP methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Expertise in AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar platforms.

• Regular utilization of Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to enhance development workflows.

• More than 6 years of experience leading intricate technical projects from concept to completion.

• Experience in startup-like settings or on innovation-focused teams.

• Working knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face, and OpenAI APIs.

• Familiarity with vector databases and embeddings.

• Understanding of prompt engineering and AI optimization techniques.

• Capability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and encourage the adoption of new technologies across teams.
