Principal Product Owner – Technology Driven Role

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as the intermediary between the client’s business operations and the software delivery teams.

• Offer subject matter expertise to steer the creation and execution of business solutions.

• Lead and facilitate sessions for gathering requirements, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to accurately capture business needs, translating them into functional design specifications, user stories, use cases, and business process flows while ensuring alignment with project objectives.

• Collaborate with product management and other cross-functional teams to manage and prioritize requirements.

• Modify requirements based on timelines, complexity, and other business factors.

• Partner with Business and Technical teams to refine and prioritize tasks, ensuring effective communication and the delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Define and document business dependencies and comprehend system complexities for all integrated platforms.

• Analyze intricate business processes, identify opportunities for automation, and reengineer processes to enhance automation potential.

• Conduct data mapping and outline all aspects of integration between platforms.

• Work alongside project managers to plan and prioritize tasks, resources, and timelines for successful project completion, while identifying, documenting, tracking, and communicating risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions.

• Document assigned feature sets and collaborate with Quality Assurance to validate system functionality, ensuring that developed features adhere to specifications.

• Lead User Acceptance Testing sessions and ensure a smooth operations handoff for launched features.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies pertinent to the business analysis domain.

• Capable of working with a high degree of independence and initiative, while able to adapt daily workloads to accommodate shifting business priorities, completing tasks without excessive supervision.

• Participate in status meetings and other leadership activities related to the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of experience as an IT Product Owner/Business Analyst or in a similar role.

• Familiarity with Web and Mobile platforms and experience working with APIs.

• Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Experience in creating mockups, wireframes, and prototypes.

• Proven experience in leading and facilitating requirement meetings during business requirement gathering sessions or design discussions.

• Proficient in basic documentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to research systems issues and products as needed.

• Capable of communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly terms.

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
