Principal Product Manager, HTS API Marketplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

đź“‹ Description

• Articulate the structure, packaging, and pricing of the HTS API Marketplace, covering capabilities such as HTS Connect, Search Polygons, Autocomplete, Ranking, Content & Property Mapping, Room Mapping, Deduplication/Auction, Pricing, Extranet, Taxes, and Custom Deals Engine.

• Collaborate with capability Product Managers—responsible for the underlying technical systems—to comprehend each capability's roadmap, limitations, and customization options, and convert that information into externally consumable API products.

• Manage the commercial model for the marketplace, addressing platform versus variable fee decisions, take rate structures for each capability, enterprise packaging, and the custom deals framework for large partners with distinct customer segments.

• Develop the developer and partner experience from the ground up: API specifications, partner onboarding processes, documentation standards, sandbox environments, and integration tools that reduce time-to-first-value.

• Leverage AI tools and rapid prototyping to swiftly test concepts—mocking API responses, prototyping partner portals, and simulating pricing and ranking configurations—prior to committing engineering resources.

• Establish the go-to-market strategy for the marketplace: collaborate with the Commercial team to identify suitable partners for each capability, sequence launches, and define what constitutes a successful commercial rollout.

• Take ownership of the marketplace revenue P&L: model and monitor Gross Booking Value (GBV), take rate, and per-capability unit economics in conjunction with Finance.

• Determine the sequencing and prioritization across all capabilities, from ongoing projects (HTS Connect, Taxes) to scoping-stage products (Content & Property Mapping, Room Mapping, Deduplication/Auction, Pricing) and capabilities that are yet to commence (Search Polygons, Autocomplete, Ranking, Extranet, Custom Deals Engine).


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of Product Management experience, including at least one 0-to-1 product developed from concept to commercial launch.

• Proven experience in creating developer-facing or B2B marketplace products, with responsibility for API product design, developer experience, and commercial packaging for enterprise clients.

• AI-native working approach: you utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) and vibe coding as primary tools for prototyping rather than as novelties. You have created working demos, mockups, or proof-of-concepts using AI before transferring work to engineering.

• Strong grasp of marketplace economics: understanding of take rates, supply-side incentives, demand-side optimization, and the design of platform versus variable commercial models.

• Ability to effectively coordinate across numerous product teams—synthesizing roadmaps, identifying dependencies, and fostering cross-team alignment without direct ownership of the underlying engineering.

• Experience in collaborating with external enterprise partners: translating commercial requirements into product specifications and managing partner expectations through multi-phase rollouts.

• High proficiency in SQL and managing large-scale transactional or operational datasets.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear API and product documentation.
