Principal Product Manager, AI Software Factory

📋 Description

• Establish the product vision and strategy for GitLab’s comprehensive software factory experience.

• Integrate planning, specification, coding, review, and verification workflows into a unified product experience.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams throughout GitLab to synchronize priorities and execution.

• Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities within the GitLab Duo Agent Platform and related areas of the GitLab product.

• Apply product and design judgment to clarify complex workflows, making them accessible and valuable for customers.

• Foster support for product decisions through effective communication, negotiation, and cross-functional teamwork.

• Articulate product direction, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

• Contribute to shaping GitLab's approach to bringing its software factory vision to market.

• Integrate teams developing GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform into a seamless, end-to-end customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive product management experience at a principal level, leading intricate products or experiences across various teams.

• Deep understanding of the complete software development workflow, from planning to verification.

• Experience with artificial intelligence products, developer tools, DevSecOps platforms, or similar technical offerings.

• Technical acumen that facilitates effective collaboration with engineering teams and informed product decision-making.

• Strong instincts in product design and user experience, including the ability to connect disparate capabilities into a cohesive experience.

• Proven ability to influence across functions, manage competing priorities, and drive progress without direct authority.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging with senior and executive leaders.

• Ownership mentality and the capability to advance in a rapidly evolving product landscape marked by ambiguity.
