Principal Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Address significant challenges across CKEditor and CKSource products, identifying opportunities where AI or automation can enhance value.

• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to define objectives, scope, and success criteria.

• Create practical end-to-end solutions that encompass the editor, backend services, and other products in the portfolio.

• Rapidly prototype, gather feedback, and refine the most promising concepts into production-ready features.

• Develop integrations and platform patterns (APIs, workflows, ecosystems) that enhance product functionalities.

• Shape technical direction and best practices across teams, facilitating the effective adoption of new tools.

• Promote the use of AI-assisted development (agents, reviews, testing, operations) to enhance software development and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficient in system design and frontend engineering, with practical experience in contemporary frontend technologies (JavaScript / TypeScript).

• Capability to transition from problem identification to architecture and implementation.

• Background in automation, workflows, or agent-like systems.

• Hands-on attitude with a readiness to contribute production code.

• Proficiency in Polish and English (minimum C1 level).

• Strong engineering judgment, including the discernment of when not to utilize AI.

• Experience in cross-team collaboration and influencing technical choices.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

• A strong sense of curiosity, ownership, and keen interest in the practical application of AI.

• Familiarity with AI in developer tools or internal systems.
