Principal Product Designer, Real Estate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Lead Craft & Quality Across the Vertical

• Establish and maintain a high standard for interaction, UX, and visual design quality across all Real Estate experiences.

• Identify inconsistencies in experience and drive alignment among teams.

• Transform strong design instincts into explicit and repeatable standards.

• Own Design Systems & Governance for Real Estate

• Define the application, extension, and governance of the design system within the vertical.

• Create clear guidelines, principles, and usage patterns to minimize fragmentation.

• Collaborate with design systems teams to ensure coherence across OLX while addressing vertical-specific needs.

• Drive AI-Ready Design Foundations

• Lead the advancement of design systems and patterns into structured, machine-readable formats.

• Ensure that components, patterns, and flows are designed for AI-assisted creation and scalability.

• Design and prototype crucial flows and interactions personally.

• Utilize design to integrate user needs, business objectives, and technical possibilities.

• Mentor and Elevate the Team

• Serve as a craft leader across designers, not limited to a single team.

• Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance to enhance the overall quality standard.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product design, with a background at the Staff or Principal level.

• Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality, complex digital products.

• Strong expertise in UX and interaction design, visual design, systems thinking, and end-to-end product experiences.

• Extensive experience with design systems and scalable design frameworks.

• Ability to establish standards, guidelines, and governance models that teams will adopt.

• Experience in reducing fragmentation and enhancing consistency across various teams.

• Familiarity with AI/ML product design patterns, including prompt design, conversational UX, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop patterns, progressive disclosure, and trust calibration.

• Active utilization of AI tools in your workflow, including prototyping, research synthesis, design exploration, or code-assisted design.

• Strong interest or experience in AI-driven product experiences or workflows.

• Excellent communicator and facilitator capable of uniting people and aligning teams through clear, compelling design narratives.

• Experienced in mentoring and developing designers, empowering them to produce high-quality work and advance in their careers.
