Principal Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the product and experience strategy across expansive and uncertain problem areas, emphasizing the transformation of intricate, data-driven ecosystems into straightforward, scalable, and user-centric experiences.

• Strategic Leadership: Establish and guide product strategy that aligns with sustainability objectives and measurable impact results.

• Sustainability Expertise: Convert sustainability frameworks (e.g., ESG reporting, circular economy, carbon reduction) into actionable product initiatives.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with sustainability leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams to identify and prioritize sustainable product opportunities.

• Product Vision & Delivery: Oversee the design and implementation of digital products and services that promote responsible business practices and long-term sustainability.

• Innovation & Research: Recognize emerging sustainability trends and technologies and incorporate them into product discovery and development processes.

• Mentor, coach, and uplift design teams while advocating for design excellence, establishing high standards for contemporary, high-quality design craft, and promoting the strategic impact of design with senior and executive stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in product management, including roles at the senior or principal level.

• Background in products related to sustainability-focused sectors, such as energy, mobility, supply chain, circular economy, or ESG data and reporting.

• Profound understanding of sustainability frameworks, including SDGs, net-zero strategies, carbon accounting, or ESG principles.

• Capability to connect business strategy, environmental goals, and user experience.

• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with experience in influencing senior stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agile design methodologies.
