Principal Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the VP of Design.

• Take charge of the complete design process for new product features, from initial concept to final delivery, collaborating closely with both product and engineering teams.

• Utilize AI tools throughout your workflow (we employ Cursor and Claude Code to enhance design iterations and depend on functional prototypes to validate ideas prior to launch).

• Articulate and justify design choices to both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a focus on user needs throughout.

• Lead our qualitative research initiatives and engage directly with users to transform insights into product guidance.

• Influence both short- and long-term product strategy as the design advocate, working in partnership with product and engineering from discovery to delivery.

• Proven experience in delivering products at a fast-paced startup; you understand what it takes to complete projects successfully.

• A genuine curiosity about users paired with the ability to distill complex research into clear product direction.

• Capable of simplifying intricate problems to achieve the right mix of flexibility, functionality, and user-friendliness.

• AI-centric in your approach, with a realistic perspective on where it adds value.

• An outstanding communicator who can effectively manage upwards and collaborate across various functions, advocating for quality design without the need to struggle for it.

• A proactive individual who flourishes in an environment with minimal management, takes initiative with a 'roll up your sleeves' attitude, is comfortable with uncertainty, and propels projects forward with little oversight.
