Principal Platform Engineer, ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, design, and implement technological solutions that support the strategic objectives of a specific line of business.

• Act as the application owner for third-party software acquired to align with a line of business.

• Communicate with software vendors to stay informed about upcoming software modifications and enhancements.

• Analyze the impact of vendor changes on the business and devise effective implementation strategies.

• Ensure alignment with the bank’s technology roadmap.

• Advise on the continued use or discontinuation of third-party software solutions.

• Collaborate with product owners to create clear and precise user stories for agile development processes.

• Implement and sustain new features and capabilities.

• Enhance the quality of technical products and services.

• Adhere to and promote industry standards and organizational best practices.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

• Automate workflows and develop maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.

• Stay updated on technology trends and innovations.

• Provide operational support and troubleshooting assistance.

• Guide, mentor, and train junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.

• Over 8 years of engineering or IT-related work experience pertinent to the role.

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Openness to working in a highly collaborative environment.

• Strong grasp and extensive experience with contemporary software development practices, tools, and/or hardware technologies.

• Thorough understanding of IT security best practices.

• Expertise in one or more technical and/or functional areas relevant to the position.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting intricate technical solutions.

• Technical skills that align with the specific requirements of the position.
