This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Partnering with stakeholders to design, implement, manage, and oversee live services along with the foundational network infrastructure.
• Spearheading the development of sophisticated network architectures and designs within a team of technical leaders.
• Constantly reviewing and evaluating emerging networking technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
• Creating technical solutions and setting standards, policies, and procedures for the network infrastructure.
• Overseeing cloud network resources, application workflows, and security components as code, integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Automating workloads using various tools and services, including native command line utilities such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Employing a risk-based strategy to enforce security policies to ensure GDPR and InfoSec compliance.
• Collaborating with the security team to implement best practices for securing the cloud network.
• Participating in Agile Scrum meetings with platform and development teams to facilitate software deployment to secure cloud networks.
• Deploying monitoring solutions for network infrastructure and services across multiple cloud environments, utilizing open-source dashboarding technologies like Grafana.
• Serving as the main liaison for third-party network and security vendors on behalf of Grouper.
• Experience or Certification: Must have experience or certification in Azure Web Application Firewall, Checkpoint Next Generation Firewall, NGINX/F5 API Management, and NGINX App Protect Web Application Firewall.
• IT Governance and Compliance: Familiarity with IT governance standards and compliance frameworks such as ITIL, PCI, and SOC.
• Network Architecture: Significant experience in designing networks to create a flexible and secure environment for operating and maintaining a suite of Microservice APIs.
• Scripting Skills: Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Azure DevOps, or Terraform for automating repetitive tasks.
• Tool Proficiency: Experienced with Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence for project management, version control, and documentation purposes.
• Linux Shell Scripting: Skilled in Linux shell scripting for automation and system administration functions.
• Git Repository Management: Proven experience working with git repositories for version control and collaborative development.
• Load Balancer Design: Extensive expertise in designing standard load balancers, SSL termination, and overall application/solution architecture.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications or equivalent experience in CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP, or other pertinent security certifications.
• Advanced Traffic Management: Demonstrated knowledge of advanced layer 4 to 7 traffic management, encompassing authentication and authorization flows, JWT/OIDC, and integration with third-party identity providers.
