This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and steer the technical roadmap concerning infrastructure, cloud services, identity management, and systems operations.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.
• Lead the design and ongoing enhancement of production monitoring, observability, and operational support practices.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for intricate infrastructure and operational issues.
• Create and implement automation solutions, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Establish and advocate for engineering standards, architectural best practices, and operational procedures throughout the IT organization.
• Collaborate with security teams to proactively identify and address infrastructure and operational risks.
• Oversee cross-functional projects that involve infrastructure, networking, security, and business systems teams.
• Mentor engineers and offer technical guidance to foster professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Drive strategic initiatives on projects lasting several months while simultaneously addressing smaller tactical needs and escalations from Tier 1 and 2 support teams.
• Over 10 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, cloud engineering, or related technical fields.
• In-depth expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration, automation, and infrastructure operations.
• Proficient understanding of Windows systems and services within an enterprise context.
• Strong command of Shell/Bash, Python, or comparable scripting and automation technologies.
• Experience in designing and managing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Advanced knowledge of networking and application protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSH, and TLS.
• Extensive experience with federated and bilateral authentication and authorization technologies (SAML, OAuth, Active Directory, LDAP) as well as platforms like Okta, Google, and AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong grasp of security principles and secure systems design.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and influence decisions across teams and stakeholders.
