This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +4 more states.
• Design systems and component architectures along with APIs that withstand the test of time.
• Communicate and advocate architectural principles collaboratively with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure that system components are secure, sustainable, and aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Evaluate and propose innovative technologies and architectural solutions (along with their business cases) to various technology executives throughout the organization, optimizing for value, risk, expenditure, and design footprints simultaneously.
• Guide enterprise solutions architects and engineers in defining, developing, maintaining, and communicating the technology and platform strategy, guidelines, and reusable design patterns to all levels, including the Highmark Health executive team.
• Collaborate with both external and internal engineering teams to offer ongoing architecture and design mentorship/leadership, serving as a support resource to ensure successful product delivery and operational excellence in production, which includes leadership and support for application development and change management activities.
• Build relationships with key architects and executive technology leaders across the enterprise technology organization and work together to promote architectural best practices.
• Partner with essential internal and external stakeholders such as security teams, developers, development managers, product and program management, as well as senior technical and business executives to advance the Architecture strategy, reference enterprise architecture documents, functional specifications, designs, and architectural libraries.
• Address new challenges by swiftly researching and synthesizing the latest technologies and methodologies, including spearheading the development of enterprise solutions that fulfill current and future business needs.
• Adopt a consultative approach to formulate, present, and communicate the value and vision of proposed architectures and solutions to a broad audience.
• Advocate for architectural best practices and mentor key technical personnel within the Data Product organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation within an environment that necessitates high levels of scalability, security, and reliability for our critical enterprise cloud and on-premise applications and infrastructure.
• 10 years of experience in Information Security.
• 4 years of experience as an Information Security Architect with a comprehensive understanding of security domains (e.g., zero trust, data protection, identity & access management, threat management, etc.).
• 3 years of experience in data management, query processing, distributed processing, high availability, statistical and machine learning, and operational excellence of production systems.
• 3 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions (evaluation, integration, etc.) is preferred.
• 3 years of experience in managing and leading teams is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of a bachelor's degree is required.
• Security certifications (e.g., The Open Group Architecture Framework Certification (TOGAF), Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), etc.) are preferred.
