Principal Identity Governance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and reengineer identity governance and administration architecture in collaboration with external consulting firms.

• Design a comprehensive identity program that encompasses both human and non-human identities, such as service accounts, API tokens, AI agents, and bots.

• Create governance frameworks, role-based access control models, delegation strategies, standards, and controls applicable to both cloud and on-premises systems.

• Oversee third-party assessments and redesign partnerships, ensuring effective management of scope, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder collaboration.

• Work alongside IAM and PAM operations leadership to incorporate governance frameworks into everyday operations.

• Develop workflows and approval processes for provisioning, recertification, deprovisioning, and privilege escalation.

• Formulate identity governance models and hierarchies that comply with ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and emerging AI governance standards.

• Promote organizational adoption through effective communication, training initiatives, change management, and alignment with executive leadership.

• Establish metrics, monitoring, and reporting systems to gauge the effectiveness of the IGA program.

• Provide strategic advice to leadership on identity strategy, emerging threats, regulatory changes, and prioritized technological enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in identity management.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in SaaS cloud-native settings.

• Proficiency in identity governance frameworks, role-based access control design, privileged access management, and IAM architecture.

• Proven experience leading large-scale identity program transformations, assessments, and implementations across enterprise environments.

• Strong comprehension of contemporary cloud identity platforms, directory services, and federation technologies.

• Familiarity with API security, service account management, and governance of non-human identities.

• Understanding of ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and SOC 2 compliance standards pertaining to identity and access control.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, including engagement with executive leadership.

• Skills in facilitation and project management.

• Experience with Okta and Azure Entra.

• Knowledge of systems administration and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel capabilities.

• Capability to coach, mentor, provide feedback, independently manage projects, handle sensitive information, and deliver presentations.

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, CISA, or IAM-specific credentials are preferred.
