Principal, Government Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in government compliance initiatives for the Space and Mission Systems division.

• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of Incurred Cost Submissions, CAS practices, Business Systems, and Forward Pricing Rate Proposals.

• Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, and government compliance.

• Serve as a liaison between DCAA/DCMA/ACO and sector management.

• Propose enhancements in processes, systems, or products.

• Support the contract closeout process.

• Conduct reviews of business systems.

• Prepare or assist in the submission of Incurred Cost Claims, FPRP, and Disclosure Statement changes.

• Review, establish, and audit indirect pools.

• Aid in the development of indirect AOP and FPRP.

• Review and create policies and procedures.

• Communicate audit status, deficiencies, outcomes, and corrective actions to business unit management.

• Assist DCAA audits involving Incurred Cost, FPRP, floor checks, and system audits.

• Collaborate with company-wide Contract Compliance teams and DCAA.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 10 years of related experience; or, alternatively, a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience without a degree.

• Comprehensive understanding of FAR/DFARS and Cost Accounting Standards.

• Experience in government accounting within a defense contractor or government agency.

• Familiarity with government audits and DCAA/DCMA engagements.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong capabilities in planning, organization, and analysis.

• Working knowledge of SAP and CostPoint ERPs.
