Principal Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead backend projects that encompass various products

• Design and implement Django REST Framework services, orchestrate Celery tasks, and create PostgreSQL data models

• Establish high standards for coding practices, observability, and system performance

• Participate in frontend development, delivering React and Next.js components

• Enhance performance throughout the entire stack, from tuning APIs and Celery workers to optimizing rendering times

• Create uniformity in observability using tools such as Sentry, Datadog, and Grafana

• Guide engineers through code reviews and collaborative design sessions

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience with Python 3 and Django REST Framework

• Practical knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript

• In-depth comprehension of Django's internals, ORM optimization, and REST API architecture

• Demonstrated experience in architecting distributed systems and asynchronous processing using Celery

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization

• Hands-on experience with observability tools like Sentry, Datadog, and Grafana

• Familiarity with Claude Code, Cursor, or other similar development tools on a daily basis

• Proficient in Git-based workflows, with a preference for GitLab

• Available to work during EST or GMT+1 time zones

• Additional points for experience with ClickHouse or Elasticsearch at scale, or exposure to Kubernetes.
