Principal Engineer, Java, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Java Spring Boot, along with modern frontend applications using Angular.

• Construct robust APIs, integrations, business services, and features for user-facing products.

• Implement strong engineering practices throughout development, focusing on clean code, design patterns, secure coding, and maintainability.

• Engage in system design, technical breakdown, code evaluations, and design assessments.

• Detect and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security challenges across the application stack.

• Responsibly utilize AI development tools to enhance engineering delivery while ensuring high standards of code quality, security, and architecture.

• Assist with automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, and best engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, designers, QA, and platform teams to deliver high-quality increments of the product.

• Diagnose complex technical issues, support production rollouts, and contribute towards continuous engineering advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Overall experience: 11+ years

• Must possess strong hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot and Angular.

• Should be capable of designing, developing, and maintaining full stack web applications with a strong emphasis on backend services, frontend applications, and REST APIs.

• Must have experience in complete feature development, encompassing requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, clean code, clean architecture, and data structures is essential.

• Must have practical experience with API integrations, PostgreSQL, and integration platforms such as Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft.

• Should possess a solid understanding of secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and OWASP principles.

• Must have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized development, and cloud-native deployment environments.

• Strong background in automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Should be able to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code, engage in code reviews, and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Familiarity with AI development tools to boost coding, testing, refactoring, and engineering productivity is required.

• Must exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with product, architecture, QA, and platform teams in Agile settings.
