Principal Engineer, CRM Salesforce Marketing Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solutions that meet business objectives.

• Establish comprehensive SFMC architecture, incorporating integrations with enterprise applications and external systems.

• Offer architectural governance and technical leadership for SFMC implementations across various markets.

• Collaborate with teams including Enterprise Architecture, Consumer Architecture, Marketing, Product Owners, and IT to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.

• Convert business requirements into technical designs for SFMC that adhere to best practices.

• Oversee the execution of intricate solutions utilizing Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, Web Studio (CloudPages), and Advertising Studio.

• Create and manage integrations using SSJS, REST/SOAP APIs, and Marketing Cloud Connect.

• Guarantee the scalability, security, compliance, and performance enhancement of SFMC solutions.

• Diagnose complex technical and implementation challenges and facilitate successful resolutions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams to ensure quality delivery and compliance with standards.

• Participate in SFMC Center of Excellence (CoE) initiatives by developing reusable assets, reference architectures, frameworks, and best practices.

• Assist in effort estimation, technical planning, and solution sizing for new projects and enhancements.

• Advocate for and educate internal stakeholders on SFMC functionalities, standards, and emerging technologies.

• Operate in Agile delivery environments and engage in sprint planning, reviews, and technical discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Total experience of 12+ years.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and Contact/Data Designer.

• Strong practical experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing large-scale and complex Salesforce solutions across Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.

• Solid pre-sales and consulting experience with client-facing roles.

• Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, Contact Builder, Content Builder, Web Studio, Social Studio, Advertising Studio, Audience Builder, Personalization Builder, Analytics Builder, Interaction Studio, and Salesforce Einstein.

• Proficient in integrating Marketing Cloud with CRM systems, CMS platforms, Google Analytics, CDP/DMP platforms, and third-party applications.

• Practical development skills in AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS.

• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.

• Experience in designing technical architecture diagrams, integration flows, and implementation blueprints within the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Strong understanding of API integrations, data flows, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and consulting abilities.

• Capable of leading architecture workshops, technical discussions, and client solutioning sessions.
