Principal Engineer, Cloud Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and define scalable, secure, and cloud-native enterprise solution architectures utilizing Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

• Spearhead modernization and migration projects transitioning from legacy Oracle middleware systems to microservices-based frameworks.

• Create enterprise integration solutions employing Apache Camel, JMS, ActiveMQ, and established integration patterns recognized in the industry.

• Design and implement containerized applications employing Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.

• Establish deployment strategies utilizing GitOps, OpenShift Pipelines, Operators, and Deployment Configurations.

• Design and execute Service Mesh architectures utilizing technologies like Istio.

• Cultivate and promote DevSecOps practices by embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows.

• Produce architecture standards, High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), technical documentation, and implementation guidelines.

• Define observability strategies with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace to ensure platform reliability and performance.

• Direct architecture reviews, technical governance, and design discussions with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Engineer secure on-premises container platforms that comply with enterprise security and regulatory standards.

• Assist in enterprise data migration strategies, including integrations with S3-compatible storage and platform modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, infrastructure groups, and project leaders to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Mentor development teams on cloud-native architecture, containerization, integration best practices, and enterprise architecture standards.

• Propel continuous improvement in architecture, security, automation, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Total experience: 10+ years.

• Proven hands-on experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Application Modernization, and Cloud-Native Application Design.

• Required expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Microservices Architecture.

• Significant experience with Apache Camel, JMS, and messaging platforms like ActiveMQ.

• Expert-level understanding of Docker containerization and Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration platforms.

• Practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including Cluster Administration, Service Mesh, Pipelines, GitOps, Deployment Configurations, and Operators.

• Strong grasp of Integration Architecture, Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), and Network Layer Design.

• Experience in migrating legacy Oracle Middleware and enterprise integration platforms to contemporary open-source and cloud-native technologies.

• Practical experience in implementing DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.

• In-depth knowledge of Service Mesh technologies, including Istio.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.

• Experience with S3-compatible object storage solutions and large-scale enterprise data migration.

• Strong expertise in designing secure on-premises container platforms adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.

• Experience in producing High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), architecture documentation, and technical roadmaps.

• Experience with enterprise API Gateway solutions like Apigee, Kong, or WSO2 is preferred.

• Preferred certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Architecture, or DevSecOps.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, architectural governance, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
