This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage client-facing incident response engagements, collaborating closely with team members to guide clients through the entire incident response lifecycle, from detection to recovery.
• Conduct initial scoping calls with clients to establish the incident's scope, objectives, and expectations for each engagement.
• Collaborate effectively with other Engagement Leads and Forensic Consultants to ensure the optimal coordination of resources and expertise on client matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships founded on trust, transparent communication, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Deliver informed solutions that not only address immediate client challenges but also support long-term security objectives.
• Articulate advanced cybersecurity concepts effectively both internally and externally, while producing clear and concise verbal and written reports that detail incident findings and analysis.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning by actively sharing knowledge with team members and staying informed on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices.
• Provide after-hours (on-call/weekend rotational) support as necessary to manage critical incidents and ensure continuous coverage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience in these areas.
• Previous professional experience in leading and managing active cybersecurity engagements, including incident response, digital forensics investigations, and interactions with clients, legal counsel, and cyber insurers.
• Proficient in conducting security investigations in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and security considerations within AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of digital forensic artifacts and tools such as ELK, Axiom, Encase, FTK, Volatility, or other open-source tools.
• Expertise in conducting forensic analysis, threat assessments, and post-incident reviews.
• Willingness to learn from the team, expand your knowledge, and mentor your colleagues.
• Ability to provide after-hours (on-call/weekend rotational) support as necessary to handle critical incidents and maintain continuous coverage.
