• Oversee the complete integration and testing process of rack electrical solutions, encompassing high/low voltage systems (AC/DC), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and power distribution units (PDUs) across various form factors and product lines.
• Engage with customers and conduct site visits to identify and document deployment challenges while collecting feedback for design enhancements.
• Create precise rack power budgets and model electrical capacities for both existing and future high-density server or switch configurations.
• Cultivate relationships with electrical/power component suppliers to establish a strong partner ecosystem that includes PSUs, PDUs, bus bars, power shelves, and high voltage equipment.
• Ensure all rack designs comply with safety and certification standards such as NEC/NFPA, IEEE, and UL/IEC.
• Design, review, or integrate rack PDUs and power distribution components, which include breaker configurations, metering, and load-balancing features.
• Conduct thorough failure-mode analyses, including FMEA and root-cause investigations for electrical defects or field issues.
• Define, validate, and enhance factory electrical testing strategies, incorporating continuity testing, sequencing, load testing, and safety verification.
• Exhibit a high level of proficiency in developing, updating, and interpreting electrical one-line diagrams for rack-level and row-level power architectures, ensuring accurate representation of power flow, grounding, redundancy, and protection devices.
• Collaborate with Architects/Compliance/Reliability teams and global vendors to align electrical architectures with overall system design and international data center/power standards (e.g., OCP, ASHRAE, ANSI, TIA-942).
• Create and maintain design documentation, including BOMs, specifications, test plans, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field is essential.
• At least 7+ years of experience in electrical systems integration is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of focused experience in rack-scale electrical/power design and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, integration strategies, and large-scale program management.
• Familiarity with server design (EIA-310, OCP/ORV3), 48V DC busbar connections, power plugs/receptacles, and power cable routing.
• Proficient in electrical tools and simulations (e.g., AutoCAD, Ansys, PSpice, SCADA, DCIM, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with electrical safety tests, including hi-pot, ground-bond, leakage current, and continuity checks.
• Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written) with strong technical leadership abilities.
• Annual bonus opportunity.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
• Paid time off (PTO).
• 4 weeks of paid parental leave.
• 11 company-paid holidays (9 fixed holidays and 2 optional floating holidays), subject to annual changes.
• 401(k) retirement plan.
• Employee stock purchase plan.
