This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Comprehend program needs and Statements of Work (SOWs) to identify environmental and characteristic application requirements for program components.
• Offer guidance on technology insertion and parts selection/standardization while conforming to business, component parameters, application environments, and circuit application constraints.
• Create and update component drawings along with the related verification data packages.
• Evaluate electronic component and assembly reliability and construction data, preparing such information to assist in the review and adjudication by the Part and Material Control Board.
• Conduct investigations into alternative parts and develop comparison matrices to highlight the differences and similarities among the components.
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers to establish component risk and verification boundaries.
• Support component selection and library applications by coordinating and creating the program Bill of Material (BOM) using a collaborative toolset.
• Present findings on component standardization, design library, obsolescence management, and termination finish risk during design reviews for the program.
• Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, encompassing any combination of the following:
• Proficiency with integrated circuits, semiconductors, and passive devices.
• Understanding of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for military and aerospace flight applications.
• Familiarity with Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and related QPLs and QMLs.
• Experience in the development and management of BOM (Bill of Material) for both developmental and production programs.
