📋 Description

• Take charge of Database Reliability by implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

• Design for Scale by crafting and executing a scalability roadmap, which includes partitioning, sharding strategies, and capacity forecasting.

• Enhance Performance through in-depth query optimization and proactive resolution of bottlenecks.

• Create Infrastructure by developing and managing scalable inference and connection pooling strategies.

• Implement Observability by designing the monitoring architecture and setting SLIs/SLOs for database health.

• Advocate for Security by enforcing banking-grade security practices.

• Collaborate Across Engineering with product teams to ensure that database schema changes accommodate a high-load environment.

• Lead by Example by raising the technical standards for the DBA function through mentoring and hands-on implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in high-load, production settings (preferably in Fintech or mission-critical systems).

• Extensive PostgreSQL Expertise: In-depth knowledge of index design (B-tree, GIN, GiST, BRIN), partitioning, and vacuum tuning.

• Mastery in HA/DR: Proven experience in designing streaming replication, clustering, and automated backup validation.

• Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cloud-managed PostgreSQL (specifically on GCP) and Linux systems administration.

• Automation Orientation: Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab, ArgoCD).

• Strong SQL Proficiency: Expertise in complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.

• Experience in the Observability Stack: Background in building monitoring and alerting systems for databases (Prometheus/Grafana).

• Fluent in English.
