Principal Data Intelligence Analyst – Clinical Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic clinical operations analytics initiatives that encompass quality, safety, access, throughput, productivity, utilization, staffing, financial performance, and patient experience.

• Collaborate with clinical and operational partners to establish business inquiries, success metrics, analytic necessities, and reporting priorities.

• Lead consensus-building discussions with physicians, operational leaders, clinical staff, and end users.

• Create sophisticated, optimized SQL queries utilizing enterprise healthcare data, including Epic Clarity and Caboodle.

• Extract, transform, validate, and analyze extensive clinical, operational, and financial datasets.

• Employ Python for exploratory data analysis, assessing data quality, conducting statistical analysis, automation, data mining, and predictive modeling.

• Convert Epic clinical workflows and data frameworks into significant operational metrics and actionable insights.

• Design data models, reusable analytic datasets, reporting specifications, and scalable data products.

• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and other visualization tools.

• Execute requirements documentation, source-to-target mapping, data profiling, testing, quality assurance, and reconciliation with report developers and data engineering teams.

• Identify and address data quality concerns, investigate root causes, and implement validation and governance methodologies.

• Create predictive and prescriptive analytics to aid operational planning, risk identification, resource distribution, and performance enhancement.

• Lead end-user training, drive adoption, create documentation, and provide post-deployment support.

• Mentor analysts and peers, offering technical and functional leadership on cross-functional projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, clinical operations, or a related field.

• Proven experience in supporting clinical operations, healthcare performance improvement, or quantitative analysis of quality, efficiency, access, utilization, or productivity metrics.

• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, subqueries, common table expressions, window functions, performance optimization, data validation, and reconciliation.

• Strong practical experience with Python for data analysis, automation, data mining, statistical analysis, and modeling.

• Demonstrated familiarity with Epic Clarity and Epic Caboodle, including the ability to comprehend Epic data structures and align clinical workflows with analytic requirements.

• Experience managing the complete analytics delivery lifecycle: requirements gathering, data discovery, exploratory analysis, data modeling, development, testing, deployment, documentation, training, and support.

• Experience in developing predictive or prescriptive analytics.

• Experience with Tableau or a similar enterprise visualization platform.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including one or more of the following: Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, notebooks, pipelines, semantic models, Power BI, or governance capabilities is highly preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle Certification is highly preferred.
